one down, two to go

so as it comes to the end of the term of my last year of uni I have been unexpectedly calm about assignments, dissertations and worst of all presentations! I think the realisation that it will all be over so quickly is sinking in and enjoying the uni life has become (along with work of course) a top priority!
How strolling along to the pub at 4 o'clock with four friends today, on a TUESDAY, is something i don't expect to be freely doing a year from now!
with 5 days left of structured lectures I am going to make sure I enjoy it as much as possible before the revision period begins!

With all this final year work hanging over my head, I find it surprisingly easy to find something more interesting and utterly less important to be doing. Be it magazines, shopping online (with no money) or applying make up just for the sake of it.
So right now I will be posting some of my favourite home making inspiration.

Today I wanted to blog about one particular person which is my oldest closest friend who has  always been there for me no matter what even if we couldn't be physically together. 
My friend, Alissa is the most caring, friendly and hysterically funny person that anyone could ever wish for to be their best friend. She is someone that I can always turn to in any situation and I know she will never judge or think badly of me and will always bring light into whatever is going on. 
She is someone i'm so proud to have been best friends with ever since I can remember, through nursery, first school, high school and beyond. 

She's one of those friends that you don't have to see a lot to know they are there. She is always fun to be around and can talk the back legs of a donkey, in a good way! 
I want to thank her for everything she has ever done for me and for being such a great amazing friend!

I was lucky enough to be given this by my boyfriend's mum for Christmas and wanted to express how it is most definitely the best mascara I have ever tried. At £22,  it lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates every lash your little peepers have and is worth every penny. It's also really long wearing and looks just as good 10 hours on after a heavy day of shopping as when its first applied. This will be a keeper in my make up bag

Hooray for Pancake Day

My new years resolution was to blog more. Can 100 % say that has not happened, but pretty sure resolutions  never do anyway!
So today is pancake day, one of the best days of the year when your at home with Mum cooking, however that is not the case. This is the third pancake day away from home, yet, the perfect pancake is not something I can create with ease.

Does it really make a difference whether you make your own batter or buy that 7p Sainsburys mix??
Anyway, more importantly is what you put it in!
Nutella and banana, Golden syrup, Strawberries and Cream. But of course, good old Lemon and Sugar, can't really go wrong with the classic can you!
But one thing is for sure there is no way Il be trying any savoury variation of a pancake. Chicken and Spinach. That is just NOT right.
